My name is Martyn, I am the bass man for Farleigh. I was born in Nottingham circa November 1980. I started off playing piano from the age of 8, but I soon progressed to the bass guitar at 15, which was much more fun.

In between periods locked in my room under the spiritual tutelage of Flea, Jaco Pastorius and Stuart Zender, I played for Nottingham-based punk-rock outfit The Schwa, and hip-hop/funk band Psycho Phunk Fish, where I got my gig legs.

I met Harry, Joe and Pete having relocated down the A42 to study Jazz in Birmingham. I’m a bit of a music theory nerd and like a huge variety of styles. Peace.
